It’s not very often you get to witness an “instant classic” live and in person. But for the folks at Charleston Beer Works on Tuesday night, that’s exactly what they got!
Skeez Nutz has recently found their 40, lead by Ryan and Dave, while Charlie Skeen has been middle of the pack all skeeson, even though Johnny and Collin have been scorching the lanes. The match was nail-biting throughout, with Johnny nailing a 44 in the 10th frame to send the match into overtime. In what would be the final roll-off, Johnny took on Ryan, but couldn’t perform the same miracle rolling and Skeez Nutz came away victorious!
When interviewed after the match, Ryan said “I’ll tell you what, Charlie Skeen put up a hell of a fight today, but I knew we could do it all along. We’re coming into these final weeks rolling well — Dave has stepped it up significantly, and CF can knock it out of the park when needed. We’re focused and ready for the playoffs and honestly, I think we’ve got what it takes — mark it down: Skeez Nutz, Skeeson I Champions!”
Depending on how Week 8 plays out, this could be the #4 vs #5 matchup in the first round of the playoffs, so keep an eye on them this week!
