Gatskee Rambles Week 7

[Editor's note: Gatskee has been on vacay, so he's not very lengthy this week (or ever....zing!). I enjoyed a few of his quips along this read, especially the Pictionary reference. Enjoy....and be sure to heckle him on the lanes this week!]

Whats up bukkake lovers!!  This is going to be an abbreviated ramble this week and it has nothing to do with a late posting of the schedule.  True story.  Fact is, I am on vacation allllllllllll week and I spent this past weekend at the beach with some great peeps.  That in itself will tire a guy out, especially when I burned the ever loving shit out of my shoulders on the first day of beach sun.  I also tired myself out when I had a little seafood for lunch before returning to Raleigh.   Food was delicious, but while everyone else was eating at a normal pace, I spent hours just trying to crack open the fucking crab legs.  This was kinda sorta my first time going full crab legs, so a little learning curve was to be expected.  Lunch was terrific, and perfected summed up with a quote from one of our crew (when he was offered crab), “Crab? I’m still trying to open these f*cking shrimp!”

Anyways, if the beach wasn’t enough of a vacation, my parents flew down from NY to hang for a few days and as I was entertaining them up until about an hour ago, I haven’t given myself much time at all to reflect upon neither the previous week nor the upcoming week.   You can call that an excuse if you so desire, and it is, but if you want to get really down and dirty, the actual truth mostly has to do with how shitty I rolled last Tuesday (let’s never have a league night on Tuesday ever again).  God, it was like 10 days ago and I was past it and ready to move on but now I’m back in my mind grapes and depressed all over again.  I’m stuck in 4^th place behind Scotty the Body and Evan and that’s just stupid because I can kick both of their asses.  That’s right.  I said it.

I remember about nothing from the last week, so I’m just looking at stats and winging it.  Right, because normally all of my rambles are researched.  Moving on.  Rookskee of the Skeeson is wrapped up.   Cory did have a low score (for him) last week, but even that won’t hurt him much at all.  By now, it is a two man race if I am being verrry generous and I’m not even gonna mess with WernGraup as both of those guys have dropped faster than Facebook stock.  Technically they are 3^rd and 4^th in the race.  Technically you can play Pictionary with 16 people.  Brad is the only guy with a chance to overtake Cory.  Believe me, I am on Team Brad, especially after that 352 last week, but it’s just not gonna be enough.   Creepy Cory has this one on lockdown as long as he rolls above 310 the last 2 weeks.

I’ve gotta mention Skeeber Fever for putting up the 2^nd highest score of the skeeson last week.  I’m not counting Mightskee Ducks and their 1107 because Mike the Mouth subbed for Graupner and rolled a 400 which is like double Graupner’s average.  1073 is pretty impressive, especially when it wasn’t just Scotty rolling a high enough score to overlook Gadd’s low score.  Gadd went for a 305 and Dustin kinda found his groove again with a 336.  It’s a good thing we won’t have to worry about them on Super Saturday!!  Flakes.  Hah!

It might be time to take Tennesskee Whiskey seriously too.   Scooter and Potter are top 10 rollers and Amanda is turning into a steady 3^rd capable of reaching 300 on any given night.  Assuming it keeps up, this team is gonna be dangerous come playoff time.    The only thing that might slow them down might be pushups, which I hear are owed from a Week 6 gutter ball.  I didn’t witness it and I don’t know who skipped out, but I’ll be watching from here on out.

That’s really about it this week though.  This skeeson is still wide open in terms of #1 contenders.  The top 5 teams right now are very much capable of beating anyone one a given night.  Actually, top 6, if you include Skee Como No!  Maybe even Harry & the Hundosons can pull an upset over a high ranked team as well.  Anything can happen guys.  The playoffs are coming up in 2 weeks along with Super Saturday and if you are adventurous, you can hop in the car and hit up Charlotte this Saturday for their Super Saturday and be awesome.
