They said it could never be done – a rookie team winning the Chalice. But in Skeeson XVII in Charlotte, that’s exactly what happened. These boys caught absolute fire mid-skeeson and never looked back. Taking down big team after big team, before advancing to the Final Four (where it should be noted, I called them to win the whole thing), before throttling Rowdy Roddy’s squad in the championship match.
And it should be noted that after the match Rowdy Roddy (who is debatably the best roller in the ‘Nation) was quoted as saying “hands down best rolling I’ve ever seen in a Finals match.”
So no we’ll wait and see if these rookie phenoms will attempt to defend their title, or split up and raise their own championship teams without each other, or if they’ll simply ride off into the sunset and never be heard from again?
Time will tell, but for now Congrats again to It Burns When I Skee!
