The First Perfect Game — 900!

Well I’ll be damned.  It’s not very often in your life you get to witness huge milestones in sports:  When Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points in a game, or in our era when Kobe Bryant scored 81 points, watching Jerry Rice score his 208th career touchdown,  seeing Cal Ripken play in his 2131st straight baseball game, etc etc.  And now we can add another milestone to that list:  Brendan “Scoop” Lloyd rolling a perfect game.

And it couldn’t have been in a more dramatic fashion — as the last roller in the 10th frame, Scoop needed a 41 to tie the opponents.  So he lined up for the hundo and let ’em rip.  9 balls later the audience couldn’t believe what they had just witnessed and people started going crazy.  Scoop had done it –rolled the first perfect game ever in league play!

It’s highly unlikely that anyone will ever be able to pull this feat off again during our lifetime, so the next time you see Scoop, shake his hand, get a picture with him, and get his autograph because this will be one story you’ll be telling for generations to come!

I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't been standing right next to him. Nonetheless I'm proud of our team for giving it a hell of an effort. And just think, when you are playing Trivial Pursuit and the question is "Who was the opponent in the only 900 in Skeeball history", Skeesburger in Paradise will now be the answer!

Right before Scoop rolled I yelled at him to wait a minute so we could do a score check and find out what he needed to tie and/or win. 41.

So after Scoop hit the first 3 hundos I was yelling at him to go back up the middle. I continued yelling at him to go up the middle for at least the next 3 or 4 balls until I realized I might be watching history.

He obviously didn't listen to me and continued to hit hundo after hundo. The sickest part about it was when he looked down for another ball only to realize that he already made all 9! If there was a 10th ball I have no doubt he would have hit it.
